Engine oil level is checked by the index of level of oil
(щупом), located on the forward party of the engine (
fig. 2.1). The index of level of oil through directing tube passes in the oil pallet in which flows down oil after greasing of knots of the engine.
Check oil level before start of the engine or not earlier, than through 5 mines after engine deenergizing. If check to make right after engine deenergizings, the oil part remains in the top part of the engine and will not have time to flow down in the pallet therefore the result of measurement will not be correct.
Take the index of level of oil from a directing tube and wipe its pure rags or a napkin.

Insert the pure index of level of oil against the stop into directing tube and take it again. Check up level of oil which should be between labels L and F on cars till 2001 of release (
fig. 2.2), or between two dredging on cars of release since 2001.
If oil level is on the bottom label, to the maximum size it will rise at addition about 1,1 l of oil.

THE PREVENTION
Do not maintain the car with level of engine oil below label L or the bottom dredging on the index of level of oil. In this case because of a greasing lack there is a raised deterioration of details of the engine and even there can be its jamming.

On the contrary, level of engine oil above label F or the top dredging on the index of level of oil leads intensive разбрызгиванию oils, to pollution of spark plugs and leaks through sealing cuffs of a cranked shaft.
For доливки oils uncover маслоналивной the mouths, located on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. Add necessary quantity of oil and establish a cover into place.
Get the engine and allow to it to work some minutes. Check up, whether there are no leaks of oil round the filter and a stopper of a drain aperture on the pallet.
Stop the engine and wait some minutes that oil has flown down in the pallet. Check up level of oil and add, if it is necessary. Check up reliability of an inhaling of a stopper.
Check of level of engine oil — the important element of preventive maintenance of the engine. Fast falling of level of oil specifies in a leak through sealing cuffs of a cranked shaft, a lining of the oil pallet, deterioration of piston rings or directing plugs of valves.
If colour of engine oil has changed to dairy or at it there are water drops, means, the lining of a head of the block of cylinders is punched, or in a head or the block of cylinders the crack was formed. It is necessary to check up immediately a condition of the engine and to eliminate malfunction.
Also at level check check up an oil condition.

THE PREVENTION
For oil quality check before rubbing of the index of level of oil spend on it a finger. If on a finger there were small firm particles, immediately replace engine oil and the oil filter.
