Protective covers of hinges of equal angular speeds (SHRUS) carry out very important role, preventing hit of water and a dirt in SHRUS. Hit on a protective cover of fuel or greasing can lead to its destruction, therefore it is recommended to wash out their water with soap. Fig. 2.26. Turn a steering wheel to the right or to the left against the stop and turn a wheel. Examine rubber protective covers of hinges of equal angular speeds, compressing them for disclosing of bends (fig. 2.26). Check up them on presence of cracks which can lead to leak of greasing and hit in water and a dirt. Check up a condition of collars of fastening, examine covers of internal hinges and casings on the other hand. The damaged protective cover immediately replace. Check up a condition of hinges of equal angular speeds: having fixed a power shaft, try to turn a wheel. Repeat attempt, holding the internal hinge of equal angular speeds and turning a power shaft. Any appreciable люфт specifies in deterioration of the hinge, deterioration in grooves of a shaft or unscrewing of a lock nut of a shaft.
