On cars till 2001, having pulled upwards and simultaneously turning, remove a tip with a high-voltage wire from a spark plug (
fig. 2.30). Not to mix a wire to spark plugs, make replacement of candles by turns.
On cars, since 2001, remove ignition coils.
Stream of compressed air clear a place round a candle that will exclude dirt hit in the cylinder of the engine after a spark plug reversing.
Turn out a spark plug.
If replacement of spark plugs is necessary, apply only the spark plugs recommended for the given engine.
Examine spark plugs. On their appearance it is possible to define an engine condition. Pure, white, without a touch the insulator of spark plugs testifies about too poor топливовоздушной mixes. It also can specify that a candle of too "hot" type (warmly from the central electrode it is taken away slowly). It is necessary to adjust structure топливовоздушной mixes or to establish the candle approaching under characteristics for the given engine.
Adjournment of a dry black soot specifies in too rich mix.
If the touch black, oily, means, the engine is worn out, it is necessary for checking up and repairing.
If the insulator is covered by light brown touch the mix structure is optimum, and the engine is in a good condition.

THE PREVENTION
On cars since 2001 spark plugs with the electrodes covered with iridium are used. On such candles the interelectrode backlash is not regulated.

Too big and too small interelectrode backlash at which capacity of a spark changes, leads to decrease in an overall performance of the engine. The backlash should correspond to technical requirements always.

Check a backlash a wire template or

fig. 2.31). To adjust a backlash it is possible

Before spark plug installation in the engine check up, that the carving was pure and intact. If necessary clear a carving. Put on a candle carving special антипригарный structure.
Examine spark plugs on absence of defects. In the presence of cracks on an insulator replace a spark plug.
For заворачивания candles on the first some coils use a piece of a rubber hose into which on the one hand insert a candle insulator. The hose operates as the universal hinge to combine a candle with a carving aperture. If the candle is rolled with a warp the hose will be turned on a candle insulator, preventing carving damage. Wrap a candle on some coils of a carving, remove a hose and further turn and tighten a candle a key.
On cars till 2001 establish into place a tip with a high-voltage wire, pressing it and simultaneously turning before its accurate fixing.

The cover and rotor of the distributor of ignition equip cars only till 1997 of release. The cars which were issued with 1988 for 2000, are equipped by contactless system of ignition.
Cars of release till 2001 have high-voltage wires, and since 2001 of the coil of ignition are established directly on spark plugs.

Similarly by turns replace other spark plugs.
