Removal
Removal make in a following order:
– Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the storage battery;
– Tighten a lay brake and block back wheels an emphasis;
– loosen the nuts of fastening of the right forward wheel. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on support. Remove the right forward wheel and грязезащитный a guard of an arch of the right forward wheel;
– Remove a filling tank of the amplifier of a steering together with an arm. If the car is equipped by antiblocking system of brakes (ABS), remove block ABS together with an arm;

– Having pulled upwards and simultaneously turning, remove tips with high-voltage wires 6 (
fig. 3.11) from spark plugs;
– A stream of compressed air clear candles that will exclude dirt hit in the cylinder of the engine after a reversing of spark plugs. Turn out spark plugs;
– Remove поликлиновые belts of a drive of hinged units;
– Remove the generator and a generator arm;
– Separate from a forward part of the engine a protective box 14 for a plait of wires;
– A jack through wooden брусок, for the oil pallet support the engine. Turn out 3 bolts and remove the right support of the engine;
– Turn out screws, disconnect draughts and wires and remove the top casing 3 gear belts and a lining;

– Establish the piston of the first cylinder in
ВМТ (in position of a step of compression). Check up that through a small aperture of a pulley of a gear belt of a camshaft label
ВМТ on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (
fig. 3.12) is visible

– A chalk, a marker or a paint note a direction of rotation of a gear belt, and also put combination labels on a pulley of a camshaft and a gear belt. If at installation the gear belt rotates in other party, it will lead to its destruction;

–
loosen the a bolt of fastening of a tension roller also remove a spring (
fig. 3.13). Remove a gear belt from pulleys. If it is necessary to remove a head of the block of cylinders, a camshaft or to replace a sealing ring of a camshaft, it is not required to remove a gear belt from a pulley of a cranked shaft;

– If the pulley of a gear belt of a camshaft is worn out or damaged, uncover heads of the block of cylinders. Keeping a wrench a camshaft from
проворачивания (
fig. 3.14) for
шестигранник, turn out a bolt of fastening and remove a pulley of a gear belt from a camshaft;

– Uncover, closing an aperture for flywheel survey, and an edge of the big flat screw-driver for a gear wreath of a flywheel fix it from
проворачивания (
fig. 3.15). Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft. As the bolt is strongly tightened, use a key with the big shoulder. Using mount or a stripper
гасителя fluctuations, remove a pulley from a cranked shaft (
fig. 3.16). Before pulley removal be convinced that the piston of the first cylinder is established in
ВМТ;

– Turn out bolts (
fig. 3.17) and remove the bottom casing of a gear belt and its lining. Remove from a cranked shaft directing a gear belt;
– If the gear belt is repeatedly established, put combination labels on a pulley of a cranked shaft and a gear belt;
– Shift a gear belt from a pulley and remove it from the engine;

– If the pulley is worn out or damaged or it is necessary to replace a forward sealing ring of a cranked shaft, remove a pulley of a gear belt from a cranked shaft. The pulley should act in film easily from a cranked shaft. If the pulley is planted very densely, remove its stripper (
fig. 3.18). For fastening of captures of a stripper drill in a pulley of 2 apertures and cut in them a carving.

THE PREVENTION
Do not overwind and do not bend a gear belt. Exclude hit on a gear belt of the oil, cooling liquid or fuel.
Do not turn a cranked shaft of the engine at the removed gear belt as pistons can hit about valves.
|
Check up a condition and smoothness of rotation of single and tension rollers. Check up a condition and measure length of a spring which for engines with 1996 for 1997 should be equal 46,0 mm, and for engines with 1998 for 2000 – 42,0 mm.
Rupture of a gear belt on the working engine can lead to blow of pistons about valves therefore valves can be deformed. Check up backlashes of valves. On the deformed valves they will be much more demanded.
If has occurred
выкрошивание teeths of a gear belt, probably, has jammed the
water pump, the oil pump or a camshaft.
If the external surface of a gear belt is considerably worn out or stratified, check up conditions of racetracks of single and tension rollers.
If deterioration or damage are found out only on one party of a belt, check up directing a gear belt and alignment of pulleys of a gear belt.

THE PREVENTION
In the presence of any defects on a gear belt replace it necessarily.

THE NOTE
Professionals recommend replacement of a gear belt every time when he acts in film as belt rupture on the working engine can lead to serious damage of the engine and expensive repair.

Installation
Installation make in a following order:
– Wipe all dirt and greasing in a forward part of the engine, in a zone of work of a gear belt;
– If acted in film, establish to the place of single both tension rollers and a spring of a tension roller. Take away a tension roller to the maximum tension of a spring and a bolt temporarily fix it in this position;
– Establish pulleys of a gear belt on distributive and cranked shaft. A pulley of a cranked shaft establish so that teeths of the gauge of a cranked shaft settled down from outside a forward cover of the engine;
– Check up that through a small aperture of a pulley of a gear belt of a camshaft label
ВМТ on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (
fig. 3.12 see
) is visible
, and

ВМТ on a forward cover. In this case the piston of the first cylinder is in
ВМТ in a compression step;
– Establish a gear belt on pulleys of a cranked shaft, the oil pump, the water pump and single and tension rollers. At repeated installation of a gear belt, combine earlier put labels;

– Put on

– Establish a gear belt on a camshaft pulley, thus pulling the branch of a belt located from the forward party of the engine (
fig. 3.20);
– loosen the a bolt of fastening of a tension roller in the taken away position, thus the spring will turn a roller therefore there will be a belt tension;
– For a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, slowly turn a cranked shaft clockwise on 1 7/8 turns before label combination on a pulley of a cranked shaft with a sign 45 to ВМТ, located on the bottom casing of a gear belt, then tighten a bolt of fastening of a tension roller the moment 42 Nm;

– For a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft turn a cranked shaft clockwise on 2 1/8 turns before label combination on

). Check up that through a small aperture of a pulley of a gear belt of a camshaft label
ВМТ on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders is visible, otherwise repeat operations on installation of a gear belt (

THE PREVENTION
Do not start up the engine while are not assured absolutely not that the gear belt is established correctly. If the belt is established incorrectly, probably serious and expensive damage of the engine.

The further installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Put on
