Before service of the storage battery switch off the engine and all consumers of the electric power, then disconnect "minus" a wire from the negative plug of the battery. Check up an external condition of the case and plugs of the storage battery. Check up a condition of the rubber covers closing the plugs of the storage battery. Check up, that connections of tips of wires and plugs had no traces of oxidation and have been reliably tightened. Also check up on all length the wires connected to the storage battery, on absence of cracks and isolation damages. If on plugs there are traces of corrosion in the form of white flakes, remove and clear the storage battery. Disconnect from the storage battery at first "minus" a wire, and then плюсовой. Fig. 2.11.
