The heater of back glass consists of set of horizontally located conductors which have been raised dust on an internal surface has flown down.
Insignificant ruptures of conductors can be restored without removal of back glass from the car.
Check of a heater of back glass make as follows:
For detection of rupture of a conductor of a heater of back glass include ignition, and the switch of a heater of back glass.
Connect one щуп the voltmeter to positive contact of a heater, and the second to "mass" contact. If the voltmeter does not show pressure, check up the safety lock protecting an electric chain of a heater. If pressure is brought to heater contacts, execute following checks.

Connect one щуп the voltmeter to "weight" of the car, and the second щуп wrap up a foil and move a foil on a heater conductor (fig. 15.44 see).

Connect щуп the voltmeter in the centre of each conductor of a heater of back glass. If the voltmeter shows pressure nearby 5,5 In, the heater conductor means is serviceable. If the voltmeter shows pressure 0 in or 12 In, means, there is a rupture of a conductor of a heater (fig. 15.45).

For detection of a place of rupture of a conductor of a heater connect one щуп the voltmeter to the positive plug of a heater, and the second щуп move on a heater conductor from outside the negative plug of a heater. The point in which the pressure shown by the voltmeter, will fall about several volt to zero, will be is a place of rupture of a conductor of a heater (fig. 15.46).
Before heater repair include it for some minutes.
Repair of a heater of back glass make as follows:
Restore rupture, using the special repair complete set.
Smooth out conductors from two parties from rupture of a conductor and degrease them.
With sticky tape stick glass from two parties of a conductor in a place of its rupture.
Prepare glutinous current-carrying structure from the repair complete set.
Put glutinous current-carrying structure to the place of rupture and the intact areas of each conductor on distance of 18 mm.
Dry up glutinous current-carrying structure during 24 ч then remove a sticky tape.
