PREVENTIONS
Necessarily replace all pads on one axis of the car even if one is worn out only колодка. If brake pads will be repeatedly established, before removal mark them.
At work brake pads the dust which contains asbestos, unhealthy is formed, therefore at clearing brake pads do not use compressed air and do not inhale a dust.
For clearing of brake mechanisms use only a special cleaner of brakes.

Each time at replacement brake pads replace returnable and bottom coupling springs as they constantly are exposed to heating and cooling at work of brakes therefore can lose elasticity and not completely take away brake pads from a brake drum.
Not to mix a detail of the left and right back brake mechanisms, replacement brake pads make at first on the one hand, then with another.

The device of the back drum-type brake mechanism is shown on
fig. 11.23.
Block forward wheels an emphasis.
Loosen the nuts of fastening of a back wheel. Lift a back part of the car and establish it on support.
Release the lever of a lay brake.
Remove a back wheel.
Marker or paint note mutual position of a brake drum and a nave that at installation of a brake drum balancing was not broke.

From an underside of a protective casing of a back brake remove
заглушку and through opened aperture a screw-driver and a hook rotate a cogwheel of an adjusting lath for reduction of length of an adjusting lath therefore brake
pads will depart from a brake drum (
fig. 11.24). Remove a brake drum.
Clear brake pads with use of a special liquid and dry up them.

Apply a thin film high-temperature greasing on a protective casing of a back brake in places of its contact with brake колодками.
Establish a cable of a manual brake on the lever of a manual brake.
Establish back brake pad into place, pass through pad a pin, establish a spring and fix a spring a plate, having pressed a plate and having turned it on 90 .
Establish on pads the bottom returnable spring, then establish a lobby brake pad into place, pass through pad a pin, establish a spring and fix a spring a plate, having pressed a plate and having turned it on 90 .
Fix the top returnable spring on a lobby brake колодке.
Being careful, clear an internal surface of a brake drum of a brake dust and a dirt. Clear an external surface of a brake drum and check up on obvious signs of deterioration or damages, presence of cracks round apertures under bolts of fastening of a wheel. If necessary replace a drum. Measure internal diameter of a brake drum. Value of as much as possible admissible internal diameter of a brake drum is put on an internal flange of a drum.
Establish a brake drum on a nave of a back wheel. A screw-driver inserted through an aperture from an underside of a protective casing of a back brake, rotate a cogwheel of an adjusting lath while brake pads will not brake a brake drum, then turn in the opposite direction a cogwheel on so much that the brake drum rotated freely. Заглушкой close an aperture in a protective casing of a back brake.
Establish a wheel and fix its nuts.
Lower the car.
Some times tighten the lever of a lay brake to adjust position back brake pads.
