NOTES
At the moment of repair manual preparation there is no information on size of resistance of a primary winding of the coil of ignition on models with 1998 for 2000 and the data on check of coils ignitions/switchboards on models since 2001.
Check of resistance of windings of coils of ignition spend on the cold engine as on the hot engine resistance will be more. Стеклолоподъемники are immediately disconnected.

Check of coils of ignition carry out as follows:
Check up resistance of a primary winding to the ignition coil, for what:
– Switch off ignition and disconnect electric sockets from each coil of ignition;

– An ohmmeter connected to contacts, measure resistance which should correspond to the value resulted in specifications, otherwise, replace the ignition coil (
fig. 6.1) – the ignition coil on models with 1996 for 1998 is established on an arm on a partition of a motor compartment;
Check up resistance of a secondary winding of the coil of ignition, for what:
– Switch off ignition;

– Mark and disconnect high-voltage wires from ignition coils; an ohmmeter connected to one contact of an electric socket and contact of a high-voltage wire, measure resistance (
fig. 6.2,
6.3);
– If resistance does not correspond demanded, replace the ignition coil.
Replacement of coils of ignition make as follows:
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the storage battery.
For models with 1996 for 1998 the further works spend in a following order:
– Disconnect an electric socket and a high-voltage wire from the ignition coil;
– Turn out bolts and remove from a partition of a motor compartment the ignition coil together with an arm;
– Turn out bolts and remove the coil of ignition from an arm;
For models with 1998 for 2001 of work spend in a following order:
– Remove throttle knot from an inlet collector;
– Uncover the air filter;
– Mark and disconnect electric sockets from each block of coils of ignition;
– Mark and disconnect wires from spark plugs;

– Turn out bolts and remove from the engine the ignition coil together with an arm (
fig. 6.4);
– The ignition coil fastens on an arm on the left side of a head of the block of cylinders;
– Turn out bolts and remove the coil of ignition from an arm.
For models since 2001 of work spend in a following order:
Remove forward section of the case of the air filter;
Each block the ignition/switchboard coil fasten one bolt.
Turn out a bolt, disconnect an electric socket and, having pulled upwards and simultaneously turning, remove the block of the coil of ignition/switchboard from the engine.
Installation make in sequence, return to removal.
