Air central air represents potential danger. At its service observance of certain rules is required. The central air should be served by the technicians trained in safe working methods, with application of the appropriate equipment and observance of rules of depressurization, gathering and storage of automobile coolants.
Air central air is under pressure, therefore do not open a contour of cooling of a central air while the coolant is not pumped out.
Do not suppose contact of a coolant to a skin.
At work near to a central air put on goggles.
At coolant hit on a skin or in eyes do not pound the amazed place, immediately wash out cold water not less than 15 mines and address to the doctor. Self-treatment is not supposed.
The coolant is stored in a new cylinder under pressure.
Store a cylinder at temperature not above 50 С. Take the measures excluding falling of a cylinder from height or other situations which can lead to its damage.
Works should be carried out in well aired premise. The coolant quickly evaporates, interferes with access of oxygen and complicates breath.
The gaseous coolant is heavier than air and rather quickly gathers below, for example, in осмотровых ditches.
The coolant not горюч, however at contact of a coolant to a flame or the heated subjects is allocated poisonous gas. Store a coolant far from open sources of fire. Do not smoke. At using ardent течеискателем avoid smoke inhalation.
At carrying out of welding works near to air central air always pump out from it a coolant. Electric welding near to pipelines with a coolant can cause decomposition of a coolant under the influence of ultra-violet radiation.
Do not subject a detail of a central air to influence of a heat or an open flame. The overheat can lead to pressure increase in system and depressurization.
Clearing of the condenser or the evaporator by means of hot water steam is not supposed, it is necessary to use only cold water or compressed air.
Basic distinctions in properties of coolants R-134a and R-12 demand various on a design of central airs of air for each type of a coolant. Mixing of coolants R-134a and R-12 even in insignificant quantities as it will lead to central air failure is not supposed. Mixing of the oils intended for various central airs, also leads to failure of the compressor of the conditioner. It is necessary to use sealing rings which are intended only for an applied coolant as coolant R-134a destroys sealing rings for coolant R-12, and the contour will become depressurized.
The central air refuels coolant R-134a. System details are under high working pressure of a coolant: at an air heat this pressure can reach 50 bar. A source of the raised danger at system service by unprepared technicians and at use of the equipment which has been not intended for this purpose, is the high pressure and chemical influence of a coolant.
That air central air worked with peak efficiency, execute the following:
– Check up a condition of a belt of a drive of the compressor of the conditioner. In the presence of deterioration and damages replace a belt;
– Check up a tension of a belt of a drive of the compressor of the conditioner and if necessary, adjust it;
– Check up a condition of tubes and hoses of a central air of air. In the presence of cracks, swellings, stratifications or the unreliable connections leading to leaks, replace them;
– Check up a condenser condition. If the external surface of the condenser is polluted by leaves and other extraneous inclusions clear the condenser, using a brush and compressed air;
– Be convinced that coolant level in a contour of a central air of air corresponds to the demanded;

– If noise of water or water is audible drips on a carpet covering of a floor, check up cleanliness of a drainage tube of a casing of the evaporator (fig. 4.31). In need of a soft wire clear a drainage tube.
To provide non-failure operation of a central air of air during the long period of operation, include it at least on 5-10 mines not less often than one-two time a month. It is especially important within winter months as at air temperature more low 0С removal of a condensate from glasses is accelerated.
One of the most general causes of infringement of working capacity of a central air is low level of a coolant in system.
